Shipping & Receiving Specialist Job Description: Responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory integrity. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The specialist collaborates with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments and receipts. Responsibilities: - Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damage - Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements - Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts in inventory systems - Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries - Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely - Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area - Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits. - Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Work Experience: 3+ years of related experience Related Experience: - Experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment - Familiarity with inventory systems and shipping software - Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment - Strong organizational and communication skills Education: High School Degree Preferred work experience: Logistics or warehouse training is a plus Certifications/Tech expertise: - Forklift certification preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with ERP systems - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and accuracy PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Prolonged periods of standing and walking - Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for handling shipments and documentation
